Havasupai
Hey Everyone, Its Aaron.
I am at Karen's, and we are getting all of the stuff together for our havasupai trip.
It is going to be amazing! I cant wait until i can put pictures up! Mom is conveniently sending me things that i need, because i thought that i would be returning home before then. the plan is to spend 3 nights down there out of our 5 day trip. the 1st of which we will camp on the rim. and eat good! then we will get up the next day early to hike the 8 mile hike to the indian village, then 2 more miles to our campsite. the next two days we will be hiking/swimming/chilling around the campsite and surrouding areas, then we will hike early early the next day out of the canyon. It is going to be a blast! but i heard that there might be rain, so keep your fingers crossed. oh well, i am hoping for the 80 degree weather and 70 degree water that i experienced last time. anyway. lets hope for the best!

Levi is usually dressed for the day already when it's time to go outside, so he thinks only certain items are necessary- a jacket, shoes, etc. So, here's his idea of "ready to go".
Levi & Natalie Jones after they kicked our butt at Tribond (mostly free rolls!)
Sledding!! We have had so much snow here it's not really fun anymore. Well, it is on the days that we play in it.
Levi has been protesting clothes lately, but he's pretty happy without them as you can see.
MMMMMMMMMMMMM, my very own beater full of whipped cream!
So, I'm becoming a better momma. I know, you didn't think it was possible:) I've been taking tips from my friend Kapri, who is one of the coolest moms I know. She always lets her baby Rome make all kinds of messes and plays like crazy. So, yesterday I gave the bubble wand to Levi. We sat on the couch and blew bubbles together and got bubble juice all over us. I loved seeing the Little Sweetie's face- just full of joy!

Nauvoo
Hi Everyone! Kristen taught me how to access our Woffinden Weekly and to post something. I hope I can remember how to do it after she leaves. It is fun to have this way of staying in touch. It is fun to see all the pictures. I am so thankful that each of you are in our family. Have a Happy 2008!! Love, Mom

Nauvoo!!!
We just got back to KC from Nauvoo. Adam got his mission call to Moscow Russia a couple weeks ago and wanted to go through the Nauvoo temple before he leaves, so we all took a short trip over for the occasion. It was so neat to me that he was able to go to the place where the first saints in this dispensation also received these covenants. It was also really poignant to me to be there in the winter and see what it would have been like when the saints left Nauvoo (remembering that it was much colder that day because the river froze over). We also got to watch the new Joseph Smith movie there, again. I have such love and gratitude for the Prophet Joseph, and for all those early saints. How grateful I am for the legacy they left.
Imagine looking out on this:
...and looking back to this:Adam after the temple
Gary, Kathleen, Mercy, Aaron, Adam, Ritch, Kristen and Levi. Grandma Arlene and Chelsea in front. We almost froze just taking these pictures. The wind was so cold!
Wow, Aaron is so strong!Carthage Jail
Garlands on a fence in Old Nauvoo. It was so fun to see all of the sites with a holiday flare. They had the cutest decorations all over (totally cute earthy stuff that reminded me a lot of Karen:)
Ritch and Levi at the tinsmith's (just a couple of babes!)

What we're doing/(What are we doing????):
We had a crazy semester this fall with Ritch teaching, working on his thesis, applying to schools and reading a ton. But, he did get all A’s!! Woohoo, congrats! He’ll be working on his thesis all next semester and finishing in May. I’d say I can’t wait if I thought we’d be done soon, but I know there’s so much more to come that there’s really no reason to. I got a purse pattern online and have been making purses/ bags for every woman I know (I wish I had enough fabric!). It’s been fun. Little “Fweefi” is the best baby EVER. We just took a two day trip to KC for Christmas and Levi had so much patience with us keeping him in the car for hours and hours. We’re planning to go to Nauvoo on Thursday so Adam can go to the temple, and hoping that Aaron gets his mission call soon (Moscow, Idaho? j/k). I’m guessing…London or Melbourne. It’s been fun being here and we’ve been glad to spend time making cookies with Grandma Arlene, stay up late having philosophical discussions with Ritch and his dad and brothers (gag me!) and just having fun together. Woffindens rock! Didn’t we just see eachother in July? It seems like it’s been forever. We hope all is well and miss you tons.
